WIPI (Wireless Internet
Platform for Interoperability) is the standard specifications
for the mobile platform made by the Mobile Platform Special
Subcommittee of the Korea Wireless Internet Standardization
Forum (KWISF). These are standard specifications necessary
for providing an environment for mounting and implementing
applications downloaded via the wireless Internet on the mobile
communication terminal.
As a Mobile Platform Special Subcommittee of KWISF, the
WIPI Forum receives the requirements for writing WIPI specifications
from mobile communication companies, mobile platform developers,
terminal manufacturers, and content developers and performs
standardization activities.
